Perth-based off-grid accommodation provider, Heyscape, has announced the expansion of its premium cabin experience in Denmark, Western Australia's South West.
Initially opening 3 one-bed cabins in December 2024, Heyscape will add an additional 15 cabins by the end of 2025. The new products include 3 two-bedroom, 8 one-bedroom and 4 family cabins (queen and bunk) with a combination of ocean, karri forest or valley views. Select cabins will also have an enhanced wellness offering with sauna and ice bath.
Another new experience is the introduction of complimentary e-bikes, providing access to The Dam's unique paddock to place experiences and the Munda Biddi Trail, which runs through the property.
A regenerative 880-acre cattle farm, Raintree also includes marron (endemic freshwater crayfish) and truffle production, a cannabis botanical distillery, and an award-winning restaurant, to offer guests a range of unique and localised experiences during their stay.
Head of Heyscape Tim Brady said “We are grateful to share this new location through our intimate and secluded cabins in Denmark.
“Through collaboration with the Birkbeck family, state government agencies and experienced tourism operators, we aim to deliver the first on-trail/track premium accommodation offering in the state, to grow sustainable visitation to national parks in WA.”
To personalise the guest experience and highlight the diverse range of produce sustainably grown on site, Heyscape has worked closely with the team at Raintree to provide a range of locally sourced pantry items, including The Dam's truffle butter, honey and oil, an espresso martini kit using vodka distilled on the property, and some memorable unique experiences such as a 'Marron Catch n Cook'. Heyscape has also partnered with Scenic Helicopters to offer a spectacular tour of the Denmark region.
The expansion aligns with the region's new Wellness Tourism Strategy, launched in 2024 by Australia's South West.
Australia's South West Chief Executive Officer Catrin Allsop said “The natural environment, including aquatic and coastal landscapes and many forests and national parks, represents a strength for our region compared to most other emerging wellness destinations in Australia.
“Activating these natural assets and promoting therapeutic journeys and itineraries that deliver wellness in nature supports the region's values and existing attributes.
“The dreamlike location of Heyscape Denmark offers stunning views of the William Bay National Park, which is home to the dazzling Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks, and part of the Bibbulmun Track hiking experience. It provides an enriching opportunity for Heyscape's guests to explore the unmatched natural beauty and wilderness of Australia's South West. It really is the embodiment of nature for nurture” she said.
Over the last 5 years, Heyscape has left lasting positive impacts on our guests through the creation of 25 sustainable cabins in different locations across Western Australia, including on vineyards, sheep farms, olive groves and even Perth's Kings Park.
